Instead of reporting from work one day, he walked off the position and took up residence in a local bar owner's basement in exchange for on-call tech support.Before meeting io, he spent his time configuring deep-space satellites constructed from a salvaged alien spaceship and miscellaneous scrap. He also has a hobby of collecting "retro" Earth music and movies, as well as comic books.Rinzler reciprocates io's feelings, but sometimes struggles to express them because of technical difficulties. Once in his android body, he has an easier time opening up.
